UV Unwrap Diorama
After listening to the Monday and Tuesday sessions, I grouped a few assets together to make each of the UV unwrap tiles efficient with fewer blank spaces. This method was used to avoid overlapping UVs and create fewer files after texturing.

Texturing
Before texturing in Substance Painter, I assigned each grouped assets with a material.

At first I used photoshop to create a texture brush for Substance Painter as taught by Michael, but I didn’t quite like it as it seemed too unrealistic and hectic.

Texturing was crazy frustrating with the light effect in Substance Painter, until I realised I could turn it off. While texturing, I avoided overtexturing or adding too much detail to the assets, as it could be quite distracting.

The first result was fine, but the slides blended too much with the diorama and the tree was overly detailed. As for the second result, the slides’ colours didn’t match the atmosphere. Finally, the 3rd one is just perfect.
